Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?
Tickets must be purchased in advance as tours typically sell out quickly. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, MasterCard or Discover from our ticketing company, Xola.


Are tickets refundable or can I reschedule?
Tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled once purchased as your space on the tour has been guaranteed. We cannot provide partial refunds for no shows, late arrivals or partial attendance resulting in missed tastings.


If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?
We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email us at [email protected] and let us know what dates you require.


What happens if it rains?
The tours are held rain or shine. Please dress for the day’s weather conditions. Even though 90% of the tour is conducted undercover we still consider an umbrella a prudent fashion accessory.


How much food is served on the food tour?
Seattle Bites is known for its BIG bites. We visit and nosh 8 to 9 merchant stops. Enough food is served that for most people, Lunch is not necessary afterwards.


Are gratuities included in the cost of the ticket?

Tips ARE NOT included in the cost of the ticket and are greatly appreciated, but not required.


Do we taste wine on the tour?
No type of alcohol is offered on the tour.


Should I bring some bottled water to take on the tour?
You may want to bring water on the tour. There are places to purchase water if needed.


What if I have dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free)?

Please let your tour host know if you or anyone in your group has dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, gluten-free, nut allergy, etc.) when you arrive for your tour. We can accommodate your request with appropriate substitutions. We get many guests asking about our gluten-free substitutions so here is a list below:
• Banana and strawberry plate with vanilla cream sauce.
• Manhattan Chowder
• German Sausages
• Smoked salmon
• BBQ beef
• Mahi tequila lime taco with avocado or beef tacos
• Greek yogurt
• Fresh produce


How much walking is involved?
Tours generally last about 2.5 hours. We are on our feet a good portion of the time but our walk is leisurely and there are a few places to sit and rest along the way.


Does the tour have anything to offer a Seattle native?
Definitely! Many of our tour guests are locals. Having felt they knew the market inside and out they tell us how surprised they are with all the undiscovered gems for eating, shopping and entertainment as well as historic tidbits. It’s a wonderful way to reconnect with your hometown and its beloved market.


Can I shop on the tour?
Seattle Bites likes to shop! However, we only allow a few minutes for those impulse buys at the specialty shops. Staying on schedule is important so we encourage you to return to your favorite locations at the end of the tour for those leisurely purchases and take advantage of your 10-15% merchant discounts!


Are bathrooms available during the tour?
Yes, bathrooms are available and we recommend using them just prior to taking your tour.


Does the tour end at the same place we meet?
The tour concludes in Pike Place Market.


Should I take my child on the tour?
Our tour is 2.5 hours long. There is a lot of standing and walking, and strollers are not recommended on the tour due to tight market spaces (particularly during the summer months). The tour is not recommended for young children, but is perfectly appropriate for teens.


Is there a discount for children, seniors or military?
We do not offer discounts for children, seniors or military at this time.


Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Portions of the tour are not wheelchair accessible (e.g., stairs) and we do not recommend wheelchairs for this tour.


Is there parking nearby the tour meeting point?
Yes, there is parking located near the meeting point. Specific parking details are included in the meeting location directions after purchasing ticket(s).


Are tours offered only in English?
Yes, we only offer tours in English at this time. Please email us if you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour.


Are gift certificates available?
Yes, gift certificates are available for Seattle Bites Food Tours; a link is offered on this website.


Can I book a private tour?
Yes, private Group Bites are available. Please email us at [email protected] to inquire about a private tour.


Can I book a company/corporate tour?
Yes, we have had great success with these. Call Mark at 425-922-9872 to determine what is best for your group.


Are pets allowed on the tour?
Pets are not allowed on the tour.
